Arise From Thorns
1997 · Self-titled debut
Dale City, Virginia · 1996 to 2000
The first chapter. Acoustic guitars, dark atmosphere, progressive ambition, and a voice that changed the direction of everything that followed.
The origins
The roots took shape in Dale City, Virginia, in the mid-1990s, when guitarist Scott Loose and drummer Trevor Schrotz began developing music built around acoustic texture, progressive structure, and heavier undercurrents.
Michelle Schrotz joined during the first recording sessions at Neptune Studios in Occoquan. Initially contributing keyboards and background vocals, she soon became the lead voice of the band. The music found its identity from there.
Arise From Thorns existed years before Bravemusic. This is where the connected history begins.
